K-POP YESTERDAY - Na Mi '빙글 빙글'





Na Mi








she was born in 1958 and her real name is 'Kim Myeong Ok'

she grew up in near by 'Camp Casey' in 'Dong Du Cheon'area

and her parents was owner of little Record Shop in town

and since when she was younger she could have chance to join with 'U.S 8th Army'

first time she wanted to be an actress in movie but she turns to have career as Musician

when she was teenager she was member of 'Happy Dolls'

and she had chance to tour in Vietnam as Military Concerts

and later 1978 Happy Dolls broke up and she decide to change her name as 'Na Mi'

and she start her career 

her look and her voice and her sense ......

as you see complete different from ordinary Korean singers

and i can't believe that she was Debut and had career 80's and 90's

i felt such 'Great Classic' .........

older and stage systems and other was very bad and old

but her voice and her sense in the song and her own individual and talent was excellent enough

and last 1990 she tried something new

........

it was 'Na Mi' and 'Boom Boom' 

she just wanted to make her performance something different

so she just wanted more 2 guys come and and join with her

'Shin Cheol' (you must remember the name) and 'Lee Jeong Hyo'






in that time their look was pretty weird and such comic and funny and sudden

hair style and look and sun glass .......

so most of people and audience thought they're performance to make people laugh

but ......it was not for laugh

but that was complete worked to make people put their eyes and ears to her performance

and their dance was unforgettable

and later 'Shin Cheol' joined with another Female Vocalist 'Mi Ae'

and released 2 Regular Albums

and later he decide to start his career as Producer for Korean Musician

and he picked up so many musicians and gave chance to be TOP in South Korea

and he knew how to release songs and albums and knew how to drive song spreads

and made many people like and joy the song and make popular  

DJ DOC, Yoo Seung Joon, Goofy, J    etc ......

before YG Entertainment ......

before JYP.....he was big head in Korean Pop Music

and his start was 'Boom Boom' beside of 'Na Mi'

and now she retired and moved to U.S 

and she had a little story with 'Park Bom' from '2NE1' 




before 'Bom' decide to be a Singer she had many hard problem

cause her family didn't want her to be a Singer

but Na Mi helped her and supported her and brought courage

and later 'Bom' decide to come to South Korea

and i guess .....she has something connect with 'Bom' and 'Boom'





and her voice and great songs are still alive and i believe it's Great

she married with her manager

and her son 'Choi Jeong Cheol' Debut 2002 as member of 'QOQ'





and QOQ had bad memory in Korean Pop Music History ......

suddenly had serious car accident and broke up

and later he turns to Solo career and released 3 Regular Albums and 7 Singles

and joined many kind of Compilation Albums and O.S.T
